Larry J. Coburn, age 76, of Muscle Shoals, died Thursday, November 22, 2012. His family will receive friends Sunday, 12-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Ralton McCarley officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Coburn was a veteran, serving in the U. S. Navy. He was retired from Reynolds and was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. He served as an auxiliary police officer with the Muscle Shoals Police Dept.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Coburn; daughters, Cindy Wagnon, Angela Brown and husband Brett; brother, Frank Coburn and wife Joyce; sister, Dorothy Steward; grandchildren, April Nelms and husband Daniel, Adam Wagnon, Jared Allen and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family expresses special thanks to all the staff of Gentiva Hospice, especially Ruthann, Kim, Tracy, Marquita, Sandy and Steve.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
