Mr. Larry Edward Atkins, age 82, of Decatur, died Saturday, September 30, 2017, at his residence. He was born October 20, 1934, in Springfield, MA to Everett Eugene Atkins and Lillian Flanders Atkins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Dudley Atkins, and his parents.
He is survived by three sons, Carl Tiernan of Lenox, MA, Russell Atkins of Sarasota, FL, and Larry Atkins of Decatur, AL; three daughters, Annie Marie Smith of Northfield, MA, Lea Ann Dawson of Waterbury, CT, and Teresa Atkins of Decatur, AL; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family may hold a memorial service at a later date.
