Larry Dean Melson, 60, of Florence, passed away September 3, 2026, at North Alabama Medical Center. He was a native of Pratt, Kansas, a retired diesel mechanic at Love’s Travel Stop and a veteran of the United States Army. Survivors include: Wife: Cindy Glover Melson Sons: Larry Melson, Jr., Ryder O’bryant, Josh Balentine & Jamie Glover Daughter: Janet Osterhout & Journey Roberts Sister: Cherylon Mendenhall Numerous grandchildren; (2) great grandchildren Preceded in death by: Father: Larry Melson, Sr. Mother: Janet Lindsey Sister: Tina Davis The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
