Larry Bigbee passed away Friday, Oct. 20, 2017. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia, with cousin Neil Morris officiating.
Larry was a son, brother, husband, father, carpenter, salesman, self-taught architect, engineer, general contractor, street rod builder, and a “cowboy.” He was a member of Tuscumbia Church of Christ and served six years in the Tuscumbia National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Hatton Jr. and Nelle Bigbee; brothers, John Bigbee, of California, and Perry Bigbee, of Muscle Shoals; and sister, Martha Rainer, of Montgomery.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Bigbee; son, Will Bigbee; brother, Steve Bigbee; sisters-in-law, Frances Bigbee, Shirley White, and Lois Westmoreland (Dan), of Memphis, Tennessee; special niece, Sandra Bigbee; and special friend, Danny Chapman.
Nephews Clint Bigbee, Stuart Bigbee, Blair Bigbee, Clay Bigbee, Chase Bigbee, Cole Bigbee, and Chris White will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Muscle Shoals Area Street Rod Club of which Larry was a member.
