Larry Allen Drake, 79 of Oxford, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at his residence. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Terri Burns Drake; daughter, Kaitlyn Yarbrough; son-in-law, Brad Yarbrough; the love of his life, grandson, Asher Yarbrough; sister-in-law, Beth Rogers (Steve) of Southport, FL; sister-in-law, Kathy Driggers (Michael) of Eastaboga; brother-in-law, Bill Burns (Angie) of San Antonio, TX; sister, Doris Merritt of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Ray Drake of Hereford, AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ethel Drake of Burnesville, OH; sister, Bonnie Stewart of Bethesda, OH; and in-laws, Dewey and Hazel Burns of Oxford, AL
Larry was born in Pinegrove, West Virginia. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and was employed for 40 years with the Department of Defense. He loved hunting, watching Auburn Football, but most of all spending every minute he could with his buddy and grandson, Asher, and granddog, Bella.
