Larry Allen Chapman, 75 of Athens, Alabama died Friday, March 19 2021 at Huntsville Hospital, services will be Monday, March 22, 2021 at 2PM at Spry Funeral Home with Odis Duncan and Larry Blankenship officiating .
Visitation will be Sunday, March, 21 2021 from 6-9 PM, burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mr. Chapman was a member of Church of Christ, and Retired Corrections Officer, he also was a US Navy Veteran where he served five years, and Vietnam Veteran, and also served on the USS Canberra. He was a Navy recruiter for one year in Huntsville, AL. he was also an avid golfer.
He is survived by wife: Janie Chapman of Athens, Son: Lance Allen Chapman of Athens, Daughter: Robin Chapman Blankenship and husband Larry of Rogersville, Sister: Annette Birdwell of Athens, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lerman and Bertha Chapman.
Pallbearers will be Ray Allen, Jeff Bradford, Gideon Flannagan, Larry Sledge, Dean Crafton, Kent Rose. Honorary Pallbearers will be L.C. Gill, Barry Williams, Benji Sledge, Clifton Blankenship, Duane Merrel, Tim McCarley, Anthony McCarley and Lester Jones
