Lamon Edward FergusonLamon Edward Ferguson, age 83, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026. He was born on November 8, 1942, to the late Edward and Lula Ferguson.

Lamon grew up in Stevenson, Alabama, where he was raised on a farm and developed a love for farming that remained with him throughout his life. During his high school years, he played basketball for Stevenson High School. He later moved to Albertville and helped establish Mueller Company’s Albertville operation, where he retired after 38 years of service. Following retirement, he returned to his farming roots and spent the remainder of his years doing what he had loved since childhood.

He is survived by his sons, Randy (Missy) Ferguson and Jerremy (Mary Helen) Ferguson; grandchildren, Jessica (Rickey) Simmons, Anna Beth (Randy) Thomason, and Drew Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Simmons, Madison Simmons, Trey Simmons, Christian Simmons, William Thomason, Wesley Thomason, and Charlie Thomason; and nephews, Lebron (Martha) Ferguson, Kevin (Allison) Ferguson, and Russell Ferguson and his beloved neighbors and close companion, Faye Garner.

In addition to his parents, Lamon was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Bain Ferguson; daughters, Tammy (Pankey) Brown and Ronda (Pankey) Thrasher; and brothers, Raymon Ferguson and Troy Ferguson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Ossie Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in memory of Lamon.
