THE SHOALS – A little damp weather was on the menu for Labor Day. However, the inclement conditions weren’t enough to dampen spirits of celebrants. There was music and beauty contests. Labor Unions had their banners displayed all over the area. A parade. Music in a new amphitheatre venue in St. Florian. Not to mention the annual Labor Day celebration out at the world-famous Coon Dog Cemetery.
The Quad-Cities Daily, as per usual, was cruising around, dodging the weather (as best as could be done) and taking our famous Event Photos. We present them here. The photos make really nice color prints. So make one if you see something you like. In fact, you can copy the image to a thumb drive and get yourself a really nice photo at your local drugstore.
