TUSCUMBIA-The Tuscumbia Labor Day Festival is the oldest festival commemorating Alabama workers. President Jimmy Carter kicked off his presidential bid at this event. There was a car show, parade through downtown streets, music, political speeches, food vendors and a general good time and fond farewell to the summer seaon. This even is sponsored by the Shoals Area Central Labor Council.
