Kristina “Kris” Childers Smith, 54, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday. She was born in Huntsville to Sandra and John Childers, Jr. Kris graduated summa cum laude with honors from UNA and was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She was the president of Childers Distribution Company and belonged to the Twickenham Gardening Club.
Survivors include her mother, Sandra Childers Shields (Sherman); sister, Leah Childers Lovell (Phillip); and nephew, Jonathan Robert Lovell.
Private services will be held.
