Kohen Everett Fitts, precious infant son of Kyle Fitts and Jayla Sweeten, was born with his angel wings on Monday, September 14, 2026.Although Kohen’s time on earth was brief, the love he brought into the lives of his family will last forever. His family shared, “While our arms are endlessly empty, our hearts are forever filled with the love, hope, and light he brought into our lives. We will love and miss you every single day, sweet baby Kohen.”
Kohen was preceded in death by his nana, Kristi Hodge Salers; great-great-grandparents, Charles and Judy Hodge; great-grandfathers, Ty Owens and Rick Everett; great-great-aunts, Susan Belcher and Brenda Garner; great-great-grandfather, Thomas Fitts; great-great-uncle, Ricky Carroll; and cousin, Heavenly-Grace Sweeten.
In addition to his loving parents, Kohen is survived by his grandparents, Elzie and Jaimie Sweeten and Thomas and Susan Fitts; uncles, Jayden and Jaythen Sweeten; aunts, Madison (Corey) Kelley and Sidney Fitts; cousins, Braxton, Maverick and Montana Kelley; great-grandmothers, Lora Everett and Barbara Alton Smith; great-grandparents, Rhonda (Hardie) Jones and Shane (Suzanne) Salers; great-aunts, Ava Everett, Haley (Daniel) Miller, Larissa Sweeten, Tonya (Chris) Freeman, and Sheri (Will) Black; great-uncle, Cody (Brittany) Owens; and a host of cousins and extended family members.
Kohen was also deeply loved by his special family friends, including Lolli and Pop (Christal and Greg Lewis); Aunt Holly Leath; Matt and Christi Farley; Uncle Avery Gibbs; Micheal & Angela Adams; Gunnie and Lisa Ragan; Danielle Ragan; and many others whose love and support will always be treasured.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Rev. Allen Ragan, Rev. Chris Ragan, and Bro. Thomas Fitts will officiate. Kohen will be laid to rest at Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Kyle Fitts will serve as pallbearer. Honorary pallbearers will be Elzie Sweeten, Jayden Sweeten, Jaythen Sweeten, and Thomas Fitts.
