Kittie Jo Steward, 79, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at her residence. She was a native of Phil Campbell, Alabama and was a retired department manager at Walmart. She was also a member of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
Visitation for Mrs. Steward will be from noon until 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, Alabama. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel with Gary Yielding officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery, Liberty Hill, Alabama.
Mrs. Steward is survived by her daughters, Myra Childs and Terrie McCarley (Joel), and siblings, Billy Hall and Doris Hardesty. Grandchildren who survive her include Telisha Patterson, Fallon Steward, Chad McCarley (Chelsey), Megan Swann (Tripp), Jay Steward, and Gabriela Childs. Eight great-grandchildren survive her as well.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Steward; parents, Ulys and Ida Nix Hall; son, Keith Steward; and sister, Patricia Taylor.
