Kirby Glenn Sewell, 75, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at his home in Ecru, MS. He was retired from the furniture industry and a devoted member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Kirby had a passion for horseback riding, hunting, and all things related to animals.
He is survived by his two sons, Samuel L. Sewell and his wife Mitzi, and Jody Lynn Sewell and his wife Amy. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, his sisters JoAnn Moore and Paula Browning, and his brother Ronnie Sewell.
Kirby was preceded in death by his father, Cortez Sewell, his mother, Louise Sewell, and his sisters, Peggy Austin, Carolyn Nix, and Lisa Shepard.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 6:30pm at Center Hill Baptist Church, located at 290 Lessell Rd, Ecru, MS 38841, with visitation beginning at 5pm. The service will be officiated by Bro. Keith Cobb, Bro. Kevin Cobb, and Rev. Albert Smith.
