Kimberly Sue Grubb, “Kimmie Sue”, of Hazel Green, Alabama was called to be with her Savior in Christ on Sunday, February 4, 2024.

She was born in Tulsa Oklahoma on June 27, 1983 living 40 years, and was told by doctors that she would never live past the age of 13.  With her rare genetic disorder, she was definitely one of God’s miracles.  He had a plan.

Kimberly lived with her sister, Darla, for 20 years.  She enjoyed being at home with her family.  Her favorite thing was watching football, wrestling, and singing along with American Idol.  She loved anything that made loud noises.  She knew what she liked and that’s what she got.  She loved playing with her toys while lying on the floor so she could roll around and get into mayhem where she could.  She had a laugh and smile that could melt your heart instantly.

She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents: Martin and Ruby Brown and Donald Gene Grubb Sr. and Shirley Grubb.

She left behind her mother Karen Dopp of Hazel Green, Father Kevin Grubb Sr. of Hartselle, sister Darla Lyle and brother-in-law Shaun Lyle, brother Kevin Grubb Jr., Daniel Grubb of Hazel Green, brother Derrick Grubb of Decatur and sister Emily Clemons of Hartselle Alabama.  Neice Katelyn Wood of Hazel Green, nephew Thomas Grubb of Madison, and Abel Grubb of Hazel Green.  She had two bonus nephews Jonathan Wallace and Jacob Wallace of Hazel Green.

She was loved dearly by all who knew her and always brought forth smiles, laughter, and love.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 7th, 2024, at Hazel Green Funeral Home from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM.  A celebration of her life will be conducted in the chapel at Hazel Green Funeral Home at 6:30 PM Wednesday.

Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
