Kimberly Leigh Bowen Fears left this earthy home on November 2, 2025 and is now in her Heavenly home. She was born September 4, 1965 in Amory, a daughter to Rufus and Olene Bowen. Kim attended Amory School and was a graduate of Aberdeen Christian Academy. Kim worked 33 years in law. She began her career with Ann Odom and went on to work in the law offices of Steve Cork and Sarah Cline Stevens. Kim had a deep and Godly love for people and was always there when someone needed her. She was a selfless person who imitated the kindness, compassion and generosity of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Since the age of 8 years old, Kim has worshipped alongside her family and church family at North Mississippi Worship Center in Wren. She was a gifted vocalist and her beautiful voice touched thousands of live through her singing on the Praise Team at church. Kim held a special place in her heart for her Bro. Dudley and Sis. Lucy Nash who was there for her during all of physical battles.
Kim married Joe Fears in 1989 and they have 3 sons; Jeremy Fears, Zachary Fears (Kristina) and their son, Gauge, Jon Paul Fears (Anna) and their daughter, Mayleigh June Fears. Kim is also survived by her parents, Rufus and Olene Bowen; sister, Kellie Kyle (Jeff Scott) daughters, Alisha Rimmer (Jeff) and Kim Lancaster (Jason); sister in law, Sherry Fears.
Kim is preceded in death by her brother, Paul Bowen; grandparents, Coleman and Ersell Lindsey, Myrlie Mae Bowen, mother in law, June Fears; granddaughter, Nora Grace Fears.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at North Mississippi Worship Center with Bro. Jimmy Winders, Sis. Pam Kelly and Sis. Krisi Boren. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Fears, Zach Fears, Jon Paul Fears, Steve Cork, Gauge Dusang and Bill Davis.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory from 5-7 PM.
Kim will lie in state on Wednesday at North Mississippi Worship Center from 1 PM until the service hour at 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, Kim requested donations to be given to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in memory of Nora Grace Fears.
