Kim Towe – Obituary

KimFuneral service for Kim Towe, 50, of Decatur will today at noon at Parkview Baptist Church with Dr. Todd Evans officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Towe passed away Monday, September 16, 2013, at his home, surrounded by family and friends.

He was born January 7, 1963 in Decatur. He attended Parkview Baptist Church and enjoyed studying God’s word. Kim had a passion for music and loved playing guitar with family and friends. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching Auburn Football and spending time with family. He was soft-spoken and humble, and greatly respected by everyone who knew him. A dedicated and loving father, husband and son, Kim went above and beyond to support his family in all of their endeavors.

He was a hardworking and dependable employee for BP Chemical for 26 years. He retired as the Process Safety Management/ Training Coordinator for the Maintenance Department in April 2013.

He is survived by his wife of 5 years, Jacqueline (Jackie) Ann Towe; son, Jordan Tyler Towe of Madison; daughter, Ashley Morgan Towe Lee of Cullman; stepson, Christopher Randall Miller; stepdaughter, Brooke Ashley Miller both of Decatur; parents, Billy Joe and Reba Faye Towe of Madison; and brothers, Billy Joe Towe, Jr. and Barry Bryan Towe of Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Turnis Ferguson and Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Towe, Sr.

Kim will be truly missed, but we are so thankful for the time God shared him with us.
