Killen Man Dies From Injuries Received In Single-Vehicle Accident

KILLEN-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident that has taken the life of a Killen man:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:55 p.m. Monday, May 12, has claimed the life of a Killen man.

Jacky T. Thigpen, 33, was critically injured when the 2003 Dodge Neon he was driving left the roadway, struck a ditch, and then a tree. Thigpen was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was transported to North Alabama Medical Center in Florence for treatment, where he later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The crash occurred on U.S. 43 near the 331 mile marker, approximately four miles north of Killen, in Lauderdale County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
