Killen Man Dies From Injuries Received In December 8th Auto Accident

KILLEN-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident has taken the life of a Killen man.  He died two days after the initial accident:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. Monday, December 9, has claimed the life of a Killen man.

Zachary A. Riley, 30, was critically injured when the 2006 Subaru Legacy he was driving left the roadway and struck a culvert before overturning. Riley was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected. Riley was transported to North Alabama Medical Center in Florence for medical treatment.

On Wednesday, December 11, Riley succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The crash occurred on Lauderdale County 47 near Lauderdale County 140 , approximately seven miles north of Killen, in Lauderdale County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
