Kevin (Opie) Stanfield was born September 18, 1967 in Selmer, TN the son of Olivia Lacefield Stanfield and the late Lee McArthur Stanfield.

Kevin was given the nickname “Opie” by a childhood friend because of his resemblance to a favorite character on the Andy Griffith show. He was the friend who would give you the shirt off his back, lend a hand when needed and always happy. He loved to fish, hunt, and work on racecars. He worked for Randy Elliott logging.

Opie was a true “Momma’s Boy” and everybody who knew him loved him.

Opie departed this life on May 27, 2019 in Ramer, Tennessee at the age of 51 Years, 8 Months, 9 Days. He is survived by two sons, Payton Lee Stanfield and Jason Hurt both of Ramer, TN; companion of 23 years, Jody Hurt of Ramer, TN; mother, Olivia Stanfield of Ramer, TN; a brother, Brian Stanfield and wife Pam of Hornsby, TN; two sisters, Nicole Mullins and husband Randy of Ramer, TN, Shelia Graves and husband Randy of Ashland, MS; and a host of extended family and friends.
