Kevin Alan Holt of Hazel Green, passed away on October 12, 2026. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend. Born to John and Ellen Holt on April 25, 1972, he grew up in north Huntsville and was a graduate from J.O. Johnson High School class of 1990. There, he grew up with many friends who he considered his brothers, and was better known as “Kitch”.
He loved his family more than anything and would give the shirt off of his back or be the first there to help to anyone that needed it. His grandchildren were his pride and he loved them tremendously. He will always be remembered for his big hugs and smile and his ability to make anyone laugh. Kevin was also a huge fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football.
He is preceded in death by his mother Nettie Ellen, his father John Lawson, and his brother Forrest Keith Holt.
He is survived by his wife Stacy Culberson, his children; Kaitlyn (Andrew) Kimbrough, McKenzie Holt, Devin Holt, Donny (Wanda) Brown, Brian (Haley) Brown and Clay (Hailey) Culberson. His grandchildren; Addilyn Kimbrough, Lawson Kimbrough, Jacie Brown, Lilly Brown, Tommy Zeigler, Caroline Brown, Aiden Culberson and Oakleigh Culberson. Also, by his brother, Anthony Holt, and by his many cousins, extended family and friends who loved him deeply.
A Celebration of Life service will be Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 1pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The family will begin receiving friends at 11am.
