Kerry Griggs Kerry Wayne Griggs, 73, of Fort Payne passed away Monday, November 14, 2022. He was born September 6, 1949 in DeKalb County, Alabama to the late Lamar and Estelle Arthur Griggs. He was a man of strong faith and a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Kerry was a loving husband, daddy and Papa.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 21st at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Adamsburg with Rev. Shaunthan Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home and on Monday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service at Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Griggs; children Julie Wigley (JJ), Jeannie Garmany (Gerald), Carmen Canalas (Mike), Scott Strickland, Floyd Strickland (Tammy); grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Daniel, Megan, Davey, and Derrick Wigley, Matt and Sarah Wigley, Kenya and Ernesto Aldana, Patrick, Emma, and Hazel Grace Bradford, Baily Bradford, Tanna Canalas, Kory and Logan Strickland, Shauna and Austin Moon; sisters Dot Twilley (Billy), Helen Wigley; sisters-in-law Patsy Griggs and Kathy Griggs, Ann Ray (EL); brother-in-law Billy Nix; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Rachel Griggs; parents Lamar and Estelle Griggs; and brothers Jimmy Dale, Tim, and Elbert Griggs; and sister Vicki Nix.

Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
