Kermit Tucker, age 100, of Decatur passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Formby officiating. A time of visitation will be Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Roselawn Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
Kermit was born in Pottsville, Arkansas on June 10, 1915. He was a dedicated Christian and member of Central United Methodist Church since 1954. He taught a Sunday school class and was a member of a weekly Bible study. Kermit enjoyed growing roses which he took to those who were ill. He was a great cook and loved taking meals to shut-ins. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Decatur.
Kermit is survived by his wife, Sue Tucker; his children, Mary Nell and Nelson; three brothers, two stepdaughters, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
