Kenneth South, 77, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at his residence. He enjoyed restoring old cars and trucks, fishing, bowling, and working in his yard. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Thursday, October 25 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Oldham Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service time. It will be officiated by Bro. John Bray. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Delbert Walters, Matt Stanford, Keith Miller, Jeremy Piersky, Jared Kettler, Mike Wilson, Nim Wilson, and William Strickland. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Peggy South of Iuka; 3 sons – Kenneth “Pete” South Stevens (Becky) of Rienzi; Ricky South (Joannie) of Corinth; and Dennis South (Brenda) of Iuka; 3 daughters – Brenda Baswell of Corinth; Sandra Kettler (Terry) of Cairo; and Sonya Taylor (Tony) of Corinth; 2 brothers – Arlie South (Jewel) of Burnsville and Howard South (Viola) of Iuka; 3 sisters – Rhodie Gray of Iuka; Peggy Thorn (Hosea) of Iuka; and Wanda Rhodes (Donald) of Corinth; 9 grandchildren – Jared Kettler, Chrissy Piersky, Heather Wicks, Krista Mae Young, Lakrisha South, Stacey Chavez, Ashley Ketter, Brianna Morphis, and Brooke Kettler; and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bernice South; and his brother and sister in law, Roy and Louise South.
