Kenneth Roy Clayton Sr. of Columbia, TN was born October 9, 1928 in Lawrence Co., TN, the son of the late Clyde and Bettie Hayes Clayton. Mr. Clayton was a retired truck driver, a member of the teamster’s local, and the VFW having served in the United States Army.
Mr. Clayton departed this life on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his home at the age of 85 Years, 6 Months, 8 Days.
He is survived by sons, Kenneth Roy Clayton, Jr. of Seattle, WA, Kim R. Clayton and wife, Deneen of Centerville, TN and Keith R. Clayton and wife, Candy of Columbia, TN; daughters, Kelli R. Clayton Gillham and husband, Fred of Columbia, TN and Kathy R. Clayton Zeitlin and husband, Todd of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher, Kristin, Anna, Aaron, Lauren, Adrienne, Haley, Daniel, Kameron and Blythe; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Autumn; a brother, Rayford Clayton of Clifton, TN; a sister, Faye Wilson and wife Ted of Memphis, TN.
Memorial services will be Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Kevin Cross officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.
