Kenneth Richard Shrider, 78, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday.
Mr. Shrider was a native of Cleveland, OH and a resident of Madison County for over 50 years. He was a member of Unitarian Universalist Church, the Sierra Club, Twickenham Auto Club, and Huntsville Computer Club. Mr. Shrider was also a scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America and a member of SCCA and OLLI. He loved sailing and hiking in which he was a hiking leader.
Survivors include his wife: Gloria G. Guay; two sons: Kenneth David Shrider and Daniel Louis Shrider; step son: Lawrence Paul Guay; sister: Elizabeth Anne Bouldin; six grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and one great-grandson.
Memorial service will be held Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church with Rev. Alice Syltie officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
