Kenneth Ray Wilson Kenneth “Ray” Wilson, 77, of Harvest, AL, peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, with his family by his side.

Ray graduated from Sparkman High School in 1965, and later earned a business degree from Faulkner University. After graduating high school, he was drafted into the Army in 1967, where he spent 18 months of active duty in Germany. Ray was also a member of the Alabama National Guard from 1970 until 1994, where he retired. In addition, he retired from the State of Alabama ABC Beverages Stores.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Cantrell Wilson; his daughter, Sandee Wilson Thompson (Keith); grandchildren, Chace Thompson and Makinzee Thompson; along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ray is the oldest of 9 children. He has 2 brothers and 6 sisters, Carolyn Bevil, Glenn Wilson (Katrina), Sue Buyse (Johnny), Pam Lane, Karen Bunting, Kathy Thompson (Kevin) and Cecil Wilson.

He is preceded by by father, Solen Wilson; mother, Mary Lewter Wilson; and sister, Judy Wilson Brummitt.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19th, at 2:00 P.M. at Berryhill Funeral Home. A service will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Dr. Mickey Jett officiating. Burial will take place at Ford’s Chapel Cemetery.
