Funeral services for Kenneth Ray Lumpkin Sr., 69, will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Round Island Baptist Church with Mike Green and Phillip Willingham officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens. Limestone Chapel directing. Mr. Lumpkin’s remains will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be Monday, November 9, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Mr. Lumpkin passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 at his residence.
He was retired from TVA at Brown Ferry in Athens, Alabama.
Mr. Lumpkin was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Lumpkins; and his wife, Sandra Lumpkin; one sister, Edna Coggins; two brothers, J.E. Lumpkins and Mark Lumpkins.
Mr. Lumpkin is survived by one son, Ken Lumpkin Jr. and wife Amy of Athens; one daughter, Traci Lumpkin McGill and husband, Bret of Athens; six grandchildren, Zach McGill and wife, Haley of Decatur, AL, Carley McGill of Athens, Emrey McGill of Athens, Raley McGill of Athens, Kendall Lumpkin of Athens and Taylor Lumpkin of Athens; three sisters, Myra Morris of Athens, Elizabeth Smith of Athens and Bennie Sue Willingham and husband Wallace of Decatur, AL; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Mitchell, Ricky Mitchell, Tim Clark, Danny Carter, Willis White, Maurice (Poodle) Gautreau and Jim Morris.
