Mr. Kenneth Ray Hammonds was born January 30, 1964, in Lewisburg, TN. On September 2, 2024, he gained his wings to be with his heavenly Father after he unexpectedly passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James McKinley and Sarah Josephine (Hammonds) Crosslin.
He is survived by his biological father Gerald R. Pearson and stepmother, Barbara Pearson of Fayetteville, TN. He is also survived by three sisters, Iva (Allen) Hicks of Hazel Green, AL, Jo Ann Crosslin of Lewisburg and Misty Pearson Armstrong of Fayetteville; five brothers, Billy (Peggy) Hammonds of Taft, James Crosslin of Lewisburg, Johnny Crosslin of New Market, AL, Vincent (Ana) Crosslin of Hazel Green, AL, and Terry (Sheri) Crosslin of Lewisburg; uncle Steve (Wanda) Hammonds; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He loved people and was a hard-working man. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed being in the kitchen creating meals especially for family gatherings. He was fun-loving and always cracking jokes. He loved all of the kids in the family and many will cherish the memories of their time spent with him. He had a kind heart and lent a helping hand to others in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home, 324 W. Church Street, Lewisburg, TN, on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 pm.
