Mr. Kenneth "Kenny" Ray DixKenneth (Kenny) Ray Dix went home to be with his Lord on September 12, 2024. Kenny was born July 21, 1931 near Beedeville, Arkansas. He was one of nine children born to his parents, Alfred Spencer Dix and Lula Goss Dix. Kenny graduated from Beedeville High School in 1951. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. After his military service, he earned a Title 1 certificate to teach vocational education from Alabama A&M. Kenny taught Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC) at A.P. Brewer Area Vocational Center at A.P. Brewer High School. Kenny was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lacey’s Spring.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, 8 siblings, his daughter, Lisa Dix, a grandson, Nicholas Green and his son-in-law George Kunkle.
Kenny leaves behind his loving family which includes Ann Dix, his wife of almost 37 years; his children, Donna Dix Kunkle, Tony Dix and his wife Rhonda and Jimmy Dix and his wife Katy; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, Church family and friends.
Kenny’s family will receive friends and guest for a visitation time, Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lacey’s Spring. The funeral service will be at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. Bro. Jonathan Plunkett will officiate. Burial will be in New Canaan Cemetery in the Union Hill area in Morgan County.
Pallbearers escorting Kenny to his final resting place at New Canaan Cemetery will be Cayden Sisney, Colton McDonald, Case McDonald, Justin Dix, Tim Collins and Lamoyne Cochran.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the building fund of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lacey’s Spring.
Arrangements entrusted to Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
