Kenneth Clayton PierceKenneth Clayton Pierce, age 77, of Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Russellville Hospital.
Kenneth was a 1966 graduate of Russellville High School where he played and lettered in Basketball. He proudly served his nation in the U.S. Air Force. He was an avid Alabama fan and Tennessee Titan fan. He loved his family very much and was a “mother hen” to all the children and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who he adored and loved spending time with.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gresham J. Pierce; mother, Cleo Mescal Kuykendall; brother, Danny Pierce; sister, Pat Butler; father-in-law, David Barnes; mother-in-law, Nell Barnes; brothers-in-law, Edward Barnes, and Don Barnes.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 57 years, Betty Barnes Pierce; his daughter, Angela Brandenburg (William); grandchildren, Kelsey Aycock (Keith), Casey McGinnis (Eric), Jacob Brandenburg; great-grandchildren, Brantley Aycock, Chloe Aycock; brothers, Terry Pierce, Larry Pierce (Betty); nieces & nephews, Faith Pierce, Danielle Pierce, Tiffany D’Amato, Steven Pierce, Timber Campbell; and several other nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Howell Bigham officiating the service. The burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be William Brandenburg, Keith Aycock, Eric McGinnis, Pruett Hugg, Faith Pierce, Terry Pierce, Larry Pierce, and Nick Campbell. The honorary pallbearers will be Brantley Aycock and Jacob Brandenburg.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of Affinity Hospice for the 15 months they cared for Kenneth. Also special thanks to Centerwell Home Health, especially Michelle, his nurse, and Russellville Hospital ER for your care of our family. We also want to thank Bro. Howell Bigham for being our hospice chaplain.
