Kenneth Bradford, 80, of Scottsboro, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 5, 2019.
Mr. Bradford was a graduate of Scottsboro High School and attended Northeast Alabama Community College. He served his country as a soldier in the U.S. Army. Mr. Bradford worked at the Avondale Mills/ Shaw Industries High Jackson Plant as a B shift supervisor at the Stevenson Mill. Mr. Bradford was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and rooting for the Atlanta Braves.
Mr. Bradford is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Weeks Bradford; daughter and son-in-law Melanie and Daniel Nevels; sons, Michael Bradford, Darrell Bradford, and Doug and Crystal Bradford. Grandchildren Meg (Nevels) and Josh Nippers, Brad Nevels, Dylan, Chase and Will Bradford, Caden and Cooper Jones. Brother and sister-in-law Robert and Virginia Bradford; sisters and brothers-in-law Linda and Jim Allen and Sandra and Scott Haynes; sister Lorene Honea; and sisters-in-law Brenda Light, Jo Ann Sharp Bradford, and Evelyn Bradford Britt; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law David and Jackie Weeks.
Mr. Bradford was preceded in death by his parents William Henry and Pearl Lands Bradford; daughter-in-law Gina Arnold Bradford; sister and brother-in-law Joan and Kenneth Haswell; brothers Charles, Donald, and William Bradford; and brothers-in-law Robert A Honea, Sr. and George Light.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Scottsboro Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at 2:00 PM at the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Pinehaven Memorial Gardens will be the final resting place
