Kenith James Garrett, 64 of Arab Alabama, died Saturday December 31, 2016 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice of Marshall County.
Mr. Garrett was born December 14, 1952 in Marshall County to Lee Garrett and Mary Florence Rutledge Garrett. He worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator. His wife, the former Brenda Kay Sullivan preceded him in death on January 23, 2004. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, Nascar, Alabama football and vacationing at the beach.
He is survived by his daughters: Kristi Garrett, Melissa Mitchell, Amanda Garrett, Jamie Garrett, Barbie Wakefield and Alisha Stone; his sisters: Linda Rutledge and Charlotte Schilling and seventeen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Brenda Kay Garrett; a brother: James Lee Garrett and two sisters: Wanda Newgent and Margaret Casey.
A Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday January 7, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Ron Ballard, officiating, and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
