Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Ken Swarts passed away on March 9, 2025 and will be deeply missed by all.
Ken was born on March 30, 1949, in Independence, Iowa where he spent his formative years helping his parents on their farm. He joined the army after high school and started working in the automotive industry for the next 40 years. The past 15 years he enjoyed working with his wife, Francine in real estate and was always eager to share his knowledge, enthusiasm and stories with others. Throughout his career he was known for his hard work, dedication, management skills and his awesome sense of humor.
But more than anything Ken was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and riding his tractor.
Ken is preceded in death by his father Paul Swarts, his mother Nelmah Chapman Swarts and his sister Nanette Hagen.
Ken is survived by his loving wife; Francine Swarts, his children Brad (Dona) Swarts, Michael (Kathleen) Hamill, Angie (Greg) Lee, Tom (Shelia) Hamill, Matt (Kelsey) Swarts, Tony (Heidi) Emerson and grandchildren Laiken Hamill, Alivia (Taylor) Harvey, Morgan Tidwell, Sydnee (Dalton) Waid, Daisy (Nick) Neveu, Baylee Swarts, Brennan (Clayton) Ramsey, Isla Hamill, Gavin (Summer) Lee, Kittson Hamill, Annah Kate (Kyle) Cates, Aislinn Hamill, Trace Emerson, Loklinn Hamill, Emery Emerson, Adan Hamill, Koen Hamill, Spencer Swarts, Carter Swarts, Coming soon Baby Swarts and great-grandchildren, Samson Waid, Marlee Waid, Tripp Pruitt, Coming soon Davis Ramsey, Coming soon River Cates.
A celebration of life will be held at Sumiton Church of God on Thursday, March 13th, 2025 at 4:00pm.
