Kayla Mae C. Williams Gibson, 27, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016. Kayla was a 2007 graduate of Lauderdale County High School where she excelled as a proud member of the drum line in the marching band. She had a tremendous love for animals. Kayla was also known for her infectious smile, friendly nature, and a laugh that could light up any room.
Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home and burial at Romine Cemetery. Allen White and Matthew Thigpen will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Dalton Holt, Branden Diaz, Corey Birdwell, Skylor Stevenson, Stephen Mair, and Bill Stevenson.
Kayla was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leo “Scrapper” and Jackie Williams and Sonny and Angie Stevenson, and stepgrandparents, L.G. and Estelle Fairbanks.
Kayla is survived by her son, Austin Dale Gibson; mother, Belinda (Butch) Fairbanks; father, Joe Williams; brother, Nathan Williams (Ashley); sister, Alyssa Williams; stepsisters, Cassidy and Kelsey Fairbanks; grandparents, Earl and Ramona Hendrix; special aunts, Cyndi (Allen) White and Deanna (Josh) Whitehead; special cousins, Josh and Allie White and Maddie, Ada and Cooper Whitehead; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
