Kaye A. Jones, 74, of Huntsville, passed away Friday after a courageous three year battle with cancer. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Mack Edwin and Sarah Elizabeth Allison, but lived her entire adult life in Huntsville. Kaye retired from Weatherly Elementary School as a computer teacher. She was a member of Hillwood Baptist Church, where she taught a two year-old Sunday School Class for 20 years.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Wallace Edward Jones; daughters, Vickie Shaw (David), Jennifer Jones (Don), Jodie Connell (William); and a son, Wallace Jones, II (Deedra). After the death of her brother, she raised four of his children; Priscilla Pierce (Ronald), Mariana Childree (Michael), Peter Allison (Karen), and Sherry Gant (Paul). She is survived by 23 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by a nephew, Mack Allison (Becca); and two great nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 3rd at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Monday, March 4th at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Charles Freeman officiating, followed by a private burial.
