After a courageous battle with breast cancer, Kay passed at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Kay was born in Decatur to James P. and Corrine Terry Kimbrell. She graduated from Dunwoody High School, and the University of Georgia, Class of 1988, where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration with honors. Kay was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She was employed by Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation, and was the Corporate Sales Manager. She worked for Nephron for 11 years, garnering many awards including manager of the year. Kay is beloved by her sales team and other colleagues.
Kay is survived by her son, Jack, and daughter, Ally Kay; parents, James P. and Corrine Kimbrell of Dunwoody, GA; brother, David and Jill Kimbrell of Birmingham; nephews, Kyle and Hunter Kimbrell; nieces, Katherine and Isabella Kimbrell and Alexandra Garner; Bill and Lou Kennedy; aunts, cousins, and many close friends.
Memorial service will be Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Dunwoody Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a mission of Dunwoody Baptist Church, Camp Grace (1445 Mt. Vernon Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338) or Big Oak Ranch (P.O. Box 507 Springville, AL 35146).
