Kay Becraft, 70, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022. Kay was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated from Butler High School in Huntsville.

Kay enriched her life with vibrant colors, expressing this love through painting, gardening, decorating her home, and through her colorful outfits. A woman of unfailing faith, Kay spent most days studying God’s word. In 2021, Kay’s writings were published: These Things of Me, a compilation of Messages from the Lord as given to Kay Becraft. As stated in the introduction of her book, “Please be hopeful and know that our Lord loves us all!”

Kay is survived by her husband, Lowell Becraft, Jr; her children, Jeremy Cunningham (Sarah), Melissa Moon (Curtis), Rebekah Becraft (Josh), Christian Staats (Charles), and Harrison Becraft (Miranda); two grandchildren, Cammy Cunningham and Jordan Cunningham; her brother, Van Douglas; and her sisters, Gayle Bailey, Susan Day (Harry), Anita Tate (Tony), and Laurie Taylor.

Visitation will be held this Wednesday, May 4th, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Walker officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
