Katrina Jo "Trina" Brooks Katrina Jo “Trina” Brooks “Shortcake”, 42, a resident of Wedgewood Drive, died Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at McClain Cemetery with Russ Adcox officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born March 24, 1978 in Maury County, she was the daughter of Bobby Brooks and Betty Jean Collins Martin. Katrina was known for her beautiful voice and love of music. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her animals. Katrina was of Baptist faith.

In addition to her father, Bobby Brooks (Betty Clay) of Columbia; and mother, Betty Jean (Billy) Martin of Columbia, survivors include her loving companion, James Lewis of Columbia; daughter, Mikey Gasca of Columbia; siblings, Lee Brooks, Tammy A. Brooks, Dustin “Dusty” (Bethany) Eells, Danny (Ashley) Dunn, Johnny Brooks, Tiffany (Anthony) Cornelius, Kevin Martin, Jeffery Martin, Melanie (Roger) Risner  all of Columbia; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and grandmother, Pasty Martin of Columbia.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Helen Collins; Tillman and Margaret Brooks; step-mother, Barbara Brooks; and several special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Active pallbearers will be James Lewis, Dusty Eells, Danny Gasca, Steven Beard, Johnny Brooks, and Danny Dunn.
