Katie Mable Parker Allen, 84, of Decatur died Friday, June 19, 2026, in Falkville.
A graveside service will be Sunday, June 21, 2026, 2 PM at Midway Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Kenny Baskins officiating. Elkins East Chapel is honored to assist the family.
She was born September 18, 1941, in Lawrence County. She was the former co-owner of J.R. Allen Printing Company and the former owner of Granny Mable’s Cooking. She was a member of Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church. Her husband, James R. Allen, parents Elmer and Lassie Parker, brothers Buddy and Ewell Parker preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, James R. Allen Jr., Timothy Allen (Renada), and two daughters, Kimberly Narmore (Terry) and Emily Springer (Steve); seven grandchildren, T.J. Allen, Ben Allen, Katie Springer, John Allen Gleason, Emily Miles, Tyler Narmore, and Whitney Narmore; and 8 great-grandchildren.
