Kathyrn Alyce “Kathy” (née Stanislowski) Brosemer

Alyce “Kathy” (née Stanislowski) Brosemer, 74, died February 8, 2024, at her son’s home in Toney, Alabama. She was born October 16, 1949, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, the daughter of Benjamin and Agnes (née Gruhot) Stanislowski. She had a variety of jobs in the food & beverage industry and retired as the Restaurant/Beverage Manager at the Marriott hotel in Huntsville, Alabama. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, watching TV, listening to live music, singing karaoke, caring for her animals, traveling, and doing jigsaw puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Kathy is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Robert Stanislowski. She is  survived by her brother, Francis (Frank) Stanislowski and his wife Paulette of Perham, Minnesota, and sister, Raenelle Simmons and her husband Rich of Crookston, Minnesota, and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Brosemer of Hazel Green, Alabama.

Kathy is also survived by her previous husband, Richard Brosemer, her children, Todd and Richard Motchenbacher, Stacey Hodd and her husband David, Michelle Rissling and her husband Anthony, and Christopher Brosemer and his wife Cindy. She is predeceased by her youngest daughter, Jessica Brosemer. She is also survived by her nephew, Mark Brosemer and his wife Dia; her grandsons, Arron Hodd, Ethan Brosemer, Carter Brosemer, and Ayden Dutton; as well as her granddaughters, Ashley Wirkes and her husband Brian, Elizabeth Rissling, and Kasha Brosemer. A visitation will be held 2 p.m. Saturday February 17, at Hazel Green Funeral Home, 13921 Hwy 231-431 N, Hazel Green, followed by a small service of remembrance at 3 p.m. Those who wish to remember Kathy in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Greater Huntsville Humane Society at (256) 881-8081, ghhs.org, or alternatively to the ASPCA at aspca.org.
