Kathy Ruth Poole – Obituary

Kathy Ruth Poole, 58, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at North Ms. Medical Center. She was born September 24, 1954 in Itawamba County, Ms. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with people, never met a stranger and she loved being around kids.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Forrest Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry George, Bro. Hal Holt and Bro. Matthew Haney officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Grove Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms. will be in charge of arrangements.

 

Survivors are her husband – David Joe Poole, Tishomingo, Ms.; son – Jeff Poole, Tishomingo, Ms.; mother-in-law – Eulene Poole, Tishomingo, Ms.; one brother – Joe Ewing (Peggy) Dennis, Ms.; four sisters – Betty Haney, Dennis, Ms., Linda Taylor (Jerry) and Angie Ewing, all of Tishomingo, Ms. and Donna Roberts (Curtis) Tupelo, Ms.; three nieces – Michelle Goddard, Deanna Debbs and Katelyn Ewing; a host of great-nieces and nephews; three step-nephews – Brian, Jason and Wesley Roberts and three special friends – Phyllis, Elizabeth and Pam.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theman Orville Ewing and Mattie Ruth Wilson Ewing, a son, Scott Poole, a brother, Bobby Ewing, a brother-in-law, Donnie Haney, a great-nephew, Nick Spigner and her father-in-law, J.J. Poole.

 

Pallbearers will be her nephews – Michael Haney, Jonathan Haney, Jason Taylor, Daryl Ewing, Ben Spigner and Randy Goddard. Honorary pallbearers will be John Dabbs, Jerry Taylor, Curtis Roberts and Dexter Rosser.

 

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, March 22, at Forrest Grove Baptist Church and continue until service time on Saturday.
