Kathy Lynn Pearce King Kathy Lynn Pearce King, age 65, of Arab, Alabama, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday afternoon, November 2, 2025. Kathy was born on September 25, 1960, in McLeansboro, Illinois, to Jewel Eugene Pearce and Billie Raie Hutchcraft. She became a member of the Arab community after relocating from Illinois in 1970.
Kathy devoted her career to caring for others, working at Diversicare of Arab as a Certified Nursing Assistant until health concerns made it impossible. Her compassion and kindness touched the lives of both her patients and colleagues.
Family was the center of Kathy’s world. She especially cherished moments spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, embracing every opportunity to create lasting memories with them.
She enjoyed reading recipes and watching cooking shows, always seeking new ideas. Kathy took special joy in preparing family meals and in providing Thanksgiving meals for nursing home residents. Dining out at her favorite restaurants, Olive Garden and Las Acros, was another pleasure she shared with family and friends. Whether cooking or planning family meals, Kathy’s generous spirit and love for bringing people together was evident.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Woody Norris; daughters, April Beasley (Steven) and Amber Beasey (Robby); step-daughter, Christy Wright; step-son, Dustin Norris (Teresa); grandchildren, Stormy, Steven, Elijah, Braxton, Heather, Laci, Maddie, Ethan and Zach; great grandchildren, Kobi, Lydia, Vella, Oliver and Baby Beasley; brother, Rick Pearce; sister, Donna McCollum.
Services for Kathy will be Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00pm with the funeral service immediately following at 3:00 with Brother Stan Davison officiating. Pallbearers escorting Kathy to her final resting place in Mt. Oak/Ruth Cemetery will be Jason Pearce, Terry Phillips, Jason Payne, Steven Beasley, Jr, Elijah Beasley and Coty Benitez. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
