Kathy Louise Gordon was born in Malone, New York on September 16, 1952 and died of cancer, peacefully in her home on Christmas day 2016.
Kathy was a loving, giving soul. She especially enjoyed animals, and Walt Disney, Beatrix Potter and Winnie-the-Pooh things. Not materialistic at all, she chose just to have a few items and a practical wardrobe. She would buy children’s books, coloring books and stuffed animals, but just keep them for a short while. She always donated these items so that someone else could have the joy of reading a book, coloring or squeezing cute fuzzy animal.
All the holidays and family get-togethers were another favorite. The making and eating of nut rolls and just savoring the holiday spread really stood out.
Kathy neither married nor had children, and is survived by a loving family of three sisters, Patty, Bonnie and Joan; brother, Richard; and her nieces and nephews, Lisa, Sheri, Leah, Richard, Steven, Kenneth, Micheal and Chrisanne.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Thomas Perrin, SDS officiating.
