Funeral service for Mrs. Kathy Hall George, age 67 of Dellrose, TN will be conducted Wednesday at 2pm, August 5th, 2020 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Colin Leighton and Bud Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery.

Kathy was born on May 31, 1953 in Lincoln County, TN to the late Joe Lindsey and Tommie O’Neal Hall. Kathy retired after 44 years of nursing at Lincoln Regional Hospital. She enjoyed singing, sewing, and nursing. Kathy helped so very many people over the years with her nursing ability. She had the knowledge, skill, and the unconditional love for others which made her an exceptional asset to the medical field. She loved children although they never had any of their own. She was known as Grammy Kathy to her nephews and she cared for them as if they were her own children. Her legacy will last in the hearts of all the souls she has touched over the years. She attended high school at Radford High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. Mrs. George was a member of the Dellrose Church of Christ. Kathy passed away on August 1, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Walter Earl George, sister Laura (Bobby) Bailey, sister-in-law, Gloria Gowan Hall, brother and sister-in-law Frank (Gail) George, nieces and nephews, BJ Hall, Mesha (Ashton) Twyman, Morgan Wright (Marcus Covey), David (Pam) George, Russell (Lynn) George; and several
great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her brother Bobby Joe Hall, father and mother-in-law, Frank Wyatt and Mary Helen George.

Visitation with the family will be from 12-2 pm Wednesday August 5th, 2020 at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bobby Joe Hall Scholarship Fund at First National Bank, 405 College St W, Fayetteville, TN 37334. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Kathy Hall George.

Special thanks goes to the doctors, nurses, of Maury Regional and Caris Healthcare for their exceptional care of Kathy and family during her illness.
