A Celebration of Life for Miss. Kathy E. Jones, 54, of Decatur will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Mt. Zion MB Church in Town Creek with Pastor Darius Holden officiating. Inhumation will follow in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the funeral. The public may view Ms. Jones on Monday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Kathy was born on July 12, 1964 in Lawrence County, AL to Samuel Jones Jr. and Hattie Robinson Guster. She departed this life on August 24, 2018 at Decatur General Hospital. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church. Kathy was a 1982 graduate of East Lawrence High School and was employed as an operator at Cierro Wire.
She is survived by: daughter, Keiona Jones; grandchild, Kamri Jones; parents, Samuel (Essie) Jones Jr. and Hattie (George) Guster; siblings, Deborah (Dennis) Brown, Frederick (Stephanie), Samuel “Norris”, Sherry and Bradley (Deon) Jones, Andrea (Stanley) Cohn, Darrius and LaPorsha Simpson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
