Kathryn Wallace Bishop, 87, of Florence, passed away April 10, 2013 at Helen Keller Hospital.
Visitation will be Friday, April 12, 2013 from 1 – 2 p.m. at New Hope Church of Christ with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Officiating will be Carl Seigenthaler. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her husbands, James Vernon Wallace and A.L. Bishop; parents, Perry and Lillie Mae Davis; sister, Dee Dee Faye Davis.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Fuller (Sammy) of Zip City, Verna Rakestraw (Benny) of Decatur, Darlene Wright (Dale Michael) of Florence; son, Jimmy Wallace (Jenny Martin) of Florence; grandchildren, Buddy Hudson, Sambo Fuller, Katrina Jenkins, James Wallace, and Trisha Wright; 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Lowell and Leon Davis.
Active pallbearers will be Dale Michael, Ken Davis, James Wallace, Gene Balentine, Roger Balentine, and Bobby Balentine.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Pate, Chuck McKinney, David James, and Tommy Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Hope Cemetery Fund.
