Memorial Services for Kathryn Sue Reeve’s age 86 of Land O Lakes, FL, will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with David Rozelle officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashland City Cemetery.
Mrs. Reeves passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Life Care Center in New Port Richey; Fl. Mrs. Reeves was born in Mellow Valley and lived in Clay County until her family moved to Talladega after World War II. She moved to Berwyn IL, in 1966 were she worked as NOW Accounts supervisor for Land of Lincoln Saving and Loan. Mrs. Reeves moved back to Clay County in 1992 after retirement, she was a volunteer for Clay County Hospice, and was a former member of Ashland Church of Christ and Retired Persons of Clay County. She was living in Land O Lakes, FL at the time of her death.
She is survived by her two daughters, Janet Reeves, Land O Lakes, FL; Brenda Atiyeh (Taisir) Hudson, FL; and one son, James Reeves (Laurel) Joliet IL; one sister, Flora Poe, Ashland, AL; one brother, Woodie F. Moore, Talladega, AL; five grandsons, and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William P. Reeves, her parents, Woodie P. Moore, and Myrtle L. Atkisson Moore; one grandson Zachary Reeves; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Abe Atiyeh, Jason Atiyeh, Joe Atiyeh, Ben Reeves, and Ethan Reeves.
