kathrynKathryn Reed Green, 90, died Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at the CarePartners Solace Center.
Mrs. Green was born Aug. 11, 1925, in Russellville, Alabama, to the late Cecil and Wayne Bowen Reed. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Franklin Green, who died in 1995; sister, Martha Reed Beall; brothers, Keith, Hugh and Don Reed; son-in-law, Jim Cefaloni; and special cousin, Bobby Bowen.
Mrs. Green was a graduate of Russellville High School where she was honored as homecoming queen. After moving to Asheville and raising her family, she retired from the National Climatic Center where she worked for 28 years. She was also a longtime member of West Asheville Baptist Church.

A graveside service was held at Green Hills Cemetery, Asheville, North Carolina.
The family wishes to thank the Blue Ridge Premier Medicine doctors and nurses, especially Dr. Clay Ballantine, CarePartners Solace Center and the Mission Hospital third floor heart unit for their loving care.
