Kathryn “Katy” Elizabeth Mullican, 27, formerly of Kennesaw, GA and Decatur, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at her home.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Garber United Methodist Church in New Bern, NC with Pastor Mathew Atha officiating. A memorial service to be held in Decatur will be announced by the family at a later date.
Katy had an unending love for all animals, and she was particularly attached to Anna, Harley, Tippy and Libby for all of their lives. She was extremely gifted with her hands as a craft maker.
She is survived by her parents, Tom and Karen Mullican of Decatur; brother, John Mullican, III of Arlington, VA; grandparents, Betty Weber of New Bern and John and Ann Mullican of Decatur; aunts and uncles, Carol Ann Duckett and husband, John, Marisue Shannon and husband, Russ, Nancy Fisher and husband, Terry, and Jeane Meller and husband, Jeff; also many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dave Weber and cousin, Nancy Brooks with whom she shared a special relationship.
