Kathryn Jean Morgan, age 74 of Somerville, Alabama died on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Morgan was born on August 20, 1941 in Morgan County, Alabama the daughter of Robert Lee Morrow & Mary Davis Gilley Morrow. She and her husband of 57 years, Jethro Richard Morgan had lived in the Union Hill Community of Morgan County for 45 years. She retired from SCI in 2004.
She was a member of Little Gethsemane House of Prayer Church in Lacey’s Spring.
She is survived by her husband: Jethro Morgan; sons: Ronald Richard Morgan and John David Morgan; daughters: Betty Jo Ludwig (Tom) and Donna Jean Tungate (Cecil); her mother: Mary Morrow; grandchildren: Samantha Campbell, Jennifer Knighten (Jody), James Ludwig, Nick Ludwig (Betsy), Jonathan Morgan, Matt Morgan, Robbie Morgan; great grandchildren: Morgan Warren, Laken Campbell, Michaela Tungate, Abbie Tungate, Brooklyn Knighten. She was preceded in death by her son Rickey Lee Morgan, her father Robert Lee Morrow and a sister Emmer Kate Morrow.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday – March 6, 2016 at Little Gethsemane House of Prayer Church, Lacey’s Spring with Brother Leon Holt officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery – Morgan City. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel Directing.
Pallbearers will be James Ludwig, Nick Ludwig, Jonathan Morgan, Matt Morgan and Robbie Morgan.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 on Saturday – March 5, 2016 at Little Gethsemane House of Prayer Church.
